EURO 2024 FAN FORUM BRINGS TOGETHER NATIONAL TEAM STAKEHOLDERS

On 21st July, national team stakeholders will meet in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, to discuss key topics ahead of UEFA EURO 2024.

Supported by UEFA, the EURO 2024 Fan Forum is a joint initiative between Football Supporters Europe (FSE), the German FA (DFB), and EURO 2024 Gmbh. It brings together representatives from fans’ embassies, national football associations, domestic police forces, and tournament organisers in one place for the first time, allowing them to share their unique perspectives, experiences, and good practice.

Participants will contribute to workshops covering several important subjects, including standards for host cities and the expectations of travelling supporters.

Commenting on the event, FSE Fans’ Embassies coordinator Matthew Willis said:

“The fan forum represents a unique opportunity for dialogue between major stakeholders before the Euros. We are looking forward to helping different parties understand one another’s interests and seeing meaningful changes implemented in 2024. Moreover, we hope that this format becomes the norm to ensure that major international tournaments offer the best possible experience for everyone, regardless of the location.”

The fan forum is part of the FSE European Football Fans Congress (EFFC), which is being hosted by the Eintracht Frankfurt Fan Department. The EFFC takes place every other year and is the biggest gathering of active football supporters on the continent.
