Read more ...The Fans’ Embassies driven by Football Supporters Europe (FSE) look back at their most successful tournament in history: fan volunteers from 19 participating countries were in operation to guide travelling fans through all stages of EURO 2016.

In Paris, the Fans’ Embassies met for an evaluation of their work and set tracks for their upcoming challenge: the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Read more ...In September 2016 more donations have been awarded by Football Supporters Europe (FSE) for groups working with refugees showing that football fans around the continent welcome refugees fleeing war and persecution.

The FSE Committee decided to make contributions of 1000 euros each to two groups from Germany and Croatia.

Read more ...After 26 years of being forced to sit Celtic supporters are the first to be officially allowed to stand as the first rail seating area on the UK mainland to hold spectators for a football match was unveiled at Celtic Park in July.

2,975 safe standing rail seats have been installed in one corner of Celtic Park and it was packed with fans for a friendly fixture against German side Wolfsburg.

Read more ...We’re living in a time where more and more countries or football bodies are adopting measures such as preventative stadium bans, forcing entire supporter groups to disband, issue travel bans for a whole fanbase or they impose national fan ID cards on all supporters.

Only all too often, these measures are suggesting that all fans are a problem, they are imposed without sufficient evidence presented and/or without complying with basic judicial principles, such as hearings of the accused or the presumption of innocence before proven guilty.

Read more ...Just after the end of EURO 2016, Turkish football fans are to meet with fans from across Europe at a major event in Izmir from 14 - 17 JULY 2016 to discuss key questions of Turkish and international football under the motto “All Colours Meet in Izmir”. The Summer Network Meeting of Football Supporters Europe (FSE) is organised by the leading umbrella supporters associations in Turkey THD (Taraftar Hakları Derneği – Fan Rights Association) and Taraf-Der (Taraftar Hakları Dayanışma Derneği – Fan Rights Solidartiy Association).

The three day conference which received support by various partners and the City of Izmir, and will see more than 500 football fans and officials from across Europe, the US and South America taking part, thereby making it the biggest international gathering of this kind ever hosted in the country.

Read more ...Just like the new European Champions Portugal, Football Supporters Europe's Fans’ Embassies teams can look back at their most successful tournament in history: fan volunteers from 19 participating countries were in operation to guide travelling fans through all stages of EURO 2016. At the same time, a critical evaluation of the security concepts at the tournament is due.

Fans’ Embassies and related services for travelling supporters under the project RESPECT FAN CULTURE provided help and information on match days for supporters following their teams and reported a high demand from fans throughout the tournament. In total there were 160 volunteers and staff members running Fans’ Embassies info points around every match at the tournament.

The 1st FSE SUMMER NETWORK MEETING will take place from 14 JULY 2016 – 17 JULY 2016 in Izmir in Turkey. The gathering will be hosted by our friends and members from the supporters rights union TARAFTAR HAKLARI DERNEGI. They will be supported by TarafDer.

More than 500 supporters and football representatives from 15 countries across Europe, the US and Argentina are registered already.

Read more ...We are shocked and devastated in view of the sudden death of a good friend and coordinator of the Belgium Fans’ Embassy, Erik Reynaerts. He has been a founding member of Belgian Supporters, he was the Supporter Liaison Officer of the Belgian Football Association, long-time fan activist and above all he will be remembered as a cheerful and passionate human being. Erik died today, on Monday, 27 June 2016, following a severe heart attack after yesterday's match.

Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones now. We wish them all the strength, unity and love required to help them through these coming days and weeks of grief and sorrow.
