Die Wiederaufnahme des Spielbetriebes mit „Geisterspielen“ hat wieder einmal deutlich gemacht, dass Fans ein elementarer Bestandteil des Fußballs sind. Ihre Anwesenheit auf der Tribüne wird schmerzlich vermisst und die gewohnt stimmungsvolle Atmosphäre ist ohne sie nicht vorhanden. Daher ist es wichtiger denn je, dass Fans in alle Diskussionen über die unmittelbare und die langfristige Zukunft des Fußballs einbezogen werden.
